Dandelion

Whether you’re looking for an adorable outfit, a dazzling necklace or earrings or darling home decor items, there’s really only one place to visit – Dandelion.

The Downtown Redding store actually started years back in a small Washington state town as La Conner before Linda Morris moved herself and it to Redding and rebranded as Dandelion.

And the Pacific Northwest’s loss is the North State’s gain.

The Pine Street store looks to create a happy and relaxing place for people to shop. And with the revitalization going on downtown, Dandelion is a must-stop while strolling through the new heart of Redding.

“Dandelion has something for just about everyone,” says Angie Harnden, Linda’s daughter who mans the shop in Linda’s semi-retirement. “Clothing, jewelry, home decor, home fragrance, bath and body products – we are a great go-to destination for the perfect gift. Customers love leaving with a wrapped gift, ready to give.”

Dandelion is Redding’s only authorized Brighton dealer, carrying Brighton handbags, jewelry and accessories. Their clothing selection is second-to-none with brands such as Karen Kane, Color Me Cotton, JAG Jeans and much more.

The homey feel to Dandelion comes from Linda’s creativity and flair. A former sales rep in the cosmetics industry, Morris always “enjoyed creating beautiful things and decorating.” And it shows the minute you walk through the doors.

From the everyday items to seasonal gifts and decor to that special outfit that’ll make him fall in love with you all over again, Dandelion caters to what women love. One look at their Facebook page and you can already feel yourself being drawn to downtown to grab a thing – or three.

Both Harnden and Morris admit it hasn’t been easy over the last year or so, but they were buoyed by the community coming back through their doors once allowed to reopen. “We’re very proud of sustaining and growing a small business for over 20 years,” the mother and daughter tandem say of being open since 1999.

“All of the staff is inspired by the wonderful customers we meet every day,” Harnden says. “Whether it’s one of our regular customers, whom we consider friends, or someone new looking for an outfit for a special occasion, it’s a great feeling to make others feel great about how they look by finding them just the right outfit for their special occasion.”

And their customers rave about them online.

“I admit I am a Dandelion-a-holic,” writes Jayme B. “I love going in and seeing what they have. Their clothing is different from what you’ll get at a mall. Classy, stylish and usually comfortable.  So many great pieces and looks, and the prices are good even if you don’t wait until they go on sale. I am always welcomed and treated very nicely by the employees/owner. I’m so glad Redding has Dandelion.”
