Let the Good Times Roll
It’s nearly impossible to not have fun when bowling.
It’s even better when you realize the folks that own Country Bowl are life-long bowling aficionados, friends and community-minded business owners who get to do what they love in addition to giving back to their town.
Make no mistake, the Country Bowl lanes are the source of joy. From birthday parties to league nights and date nights and “just because” days, Country Bowl is a great place to relax and unwind and knock some pins down.
Owned by Anthony and Tona Thompson, Tim and Becky Weston, and Jeff and Lisa Wutzke, Country Bowl is a place for bowlers run by bowlers.
“I started bowling as a bumper bowler at age 7,” says Anthony Thompson. “Growing up watching my idol Parker Bohn III bowl on TV, I dreamed about going on the PBA Tour. My wife and I originally met (while) bowling during junior travel league when we were teenagers.
“We have all competed across the country in various events and all of it led us to seize the opportunity to own a bowling center with family and friends that share a passion for the game.”
And they’ve extended their love of bowling to your fun.
“Being able to positively impact people with bowling,” is one of the great rewards of running Country Bowl, the owners say. “We have spent a lot of time helping bowlers get better and have more fun. Now that we can do that on an even larger scale, which is very rewarding.
“I think it’s especially important in this digital age we live in to help people gather and share activities together.”
Country Bowl features 16 lanes, Rock-N-Bowl on Friday and Saturday nights, bumper lanes and full service pro shop. They also host the best birthday or company parties, or team-building events.
“It’s a dream to build an awesome gathering center for families and the community to enjoy time together with entertainment and great food.
And speaking of the food, Country Bowl doesn’t settle for boring food at their cafe and full service bar.
“We have a great chef/catering manager, Chris Goddard, and a fantastic catering menu along with our growing cafe menu,” they say.
Try the Tri-Tip sandwiches (with Chris’s secret barbecue sauce), pulled pork sliders, mango habanero shrimp street tacos, or grab bacon-wrapped maple glazed wings then some apple or peach crisp for dessert.
Along with the fun and great food, Country Bowl is also civic-minded, hosting fundraisers for entities like Catalyst Mentoring in early August.
And all that adds up to a perfect game.
