Dr. Travis Tucker loves to see people smile. It’s what he works toward every day at his Redding Dental Arts office.

“I love seeing people smile and feel good about themselves,” he says about his inspiration for his work. “That is what we strive for and will continue to do our best.”

Dr. Tucker and his staff work with their patients of all ages – from their first tooth to dentures – in their state-of-the-art facility on Victor Avenue in Redding. The clean, cozy atmosphere is designed to make a trip to the dentist not feel like one.

“We bring a comprehensive approach to dentistry by treating each person individually,” Dr. Tucker says. “It is something we have worked on to make the experience feel like it is handcrafted for every person. Redding Dental Arts is a preferred provider for Cigna PPO, but understands that patients also have other insurance and different financial capabilities. That’s why they’re willing to file claims to out-of-network companies and offer financial assistance through Care Credit.

They also offer membership plans for those without dental coverage because they believe everyone deserves access to great dentistry without significant financial strain. An adult membership plan (ages 14 and older) costs $500 annually and includes dental exams, X-rays, fluoride treatments among other things, along with discounted treatments like fillings and crowns. The child membership plan costs $375 annually and offers the same coverage as the adult plan. “We have the time to focus on any concerns our patients have by being mostly out-of-network with insurances,” Dr. Tucker says. “So, if there are specific needs that have been ignored in the past, we are happy to pursue options with our patients that other offices may not have the time to.”

Redding Dental Arts was founded in 2018 when Dr. Tucker and his family moved back to California after practicing for more than three years in Pennsylvania. While Redding was in the midst of the Carr Fire aftermath, Dr. Tucker and his family were struck by the North State community.

“We found the opportunity to take an existing practice and make it our own and it has been a great place to make our home,” he says. “When I first considered moving to Redding, our initial

impression was colored by the Carr Fire. My wife and I could not see any of the beauty surrounding our community but we saw the posters and felt the unity our community showed in bringing everyone together during a challenging time. That was essentially what brought us here and it has only become better as time has gone on. We continue to be impressed by the people here.”
