If you want a true 4-star dining experience in the North State, there really is only one choice – Mosaic. Situated near Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the Sundial Bridge and the Sheraton, Mosaic draw raves as much for its ambiance as its sublime menu.

Open from 5 to 9 pm daily for dinner, the 130-seat Mosaic offers takeout as well as patio dining. Breakfast is available from 6:30 to 11 a.m., lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and the weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is said to be the best in town. Mosaic is also pet-friendly (and even has a doggy menu).

As for the human fare, which can be found on their simple website www.mosaicredding.com, let’s just say hyperbole is in order for just how delicious the food truly is. From starters like shishito poppers or blueberry kale salad or sesame ahi, your taste buds are just getting warmed up.
Their California-inspired cuisine with a Wine Country twist leaves diners with a dilemma – deciding on an entrée. Do you choose the Mosaic burger or the cauliflower steak, the shrimp scampi or the salmon? Or maybe you pick one of their stone-oven pizzas?

Executive Chef James Vereb and staff pay attention to detail and draw on knowledge of local ingredients to create dishes that keep diners coming back. Whatever you choose, you’re sure to be delighted as the dishes are flavorful, the staff attentive and the extensive cocktail, beer and wine list match just what you’re feeling.

To top it off, dessert is too delicious to pass up.

The name was inspired by the mosaic tiles found on the world-renowned Sundial Bridge and among the public art throughout the McConnell Arboretum Gardens on the north side of the Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The restaurant itself was crafted from the entrance and gift shop prior to the Sheraton being built.

Mosaic enjoys weekly tap takeovers with live music on the patio overlooking Turtle Bay and has become the date, anniversary or “just because” spot since its 2018 opening. Oh, and don’t worry about choosing from the menu – you’ll be certain to want to come back.
